The final automatic bids for the NCAA Tournament were snagged on Sunday, as conference championships wrapped up around the country, culminating with Michigan State taking down Michigan for the Big Ten title in Chicago.
With those out of the way, it was time for the bracket reveal on CBS, to find out the 68 teams that would be participating in March Madness this year. The full printable bracket is available here, so you can get to filling it out ahead of Tuesday’s First Four games in Dayton (or Thursday when it gets underway for real).
After last year’s disaster of revealing teams alphabetically, we were back to getting the bracket by region (as it should be), starting with the East, headlined by top overall seed Duke, who will face the winner of the NC Central-North Dakota State First Four game on Tuesday.
The other top seeds in the East are Michigan State, LSU, and Virginia Tech, as three ACC teams will play in the East region (Louisville being the other). Belmont getting an at-large bid as part of the other First Four game for the 11-seed in the East region was a pleasant surprise, after they lost to Ja Morant and Murray State in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament.

Next up was the Midwest, featuring a third ACC team in the No. 1 seed, with North Carolina facing off with Iona out of the MAAC. It’s the first time since 2009 one conference produced a trio of top seeds. The rest of the top seeds in the Midwest are UNC, Kentucky, Houston, and Kansas. Wofford earning a 7-seed was a nice move from the committee, rewarding them for an excellent season in the SoCon.
