By now, with so many dunk contests and so many great dunkers, we’ve pretty much seen every dunk there is. Nothing’s really new anymore – every dunk is just a variation on the same theme. Well, not every dunk. There are exceptions, such as this one from Terrance Ferguson.
The bounce off the side of the backboard isn’t a novel approach, nor is the 360 slam, but when combined into a single dunk, it’s an entirely new invention. Ferguson is one of the top recruits in the class of 2016, and while he’s undecided, he has offers from elite schools like Kansas, Louisville, Arizona and Texas.
