Video: James Harden Loses Jimmy Butler With Dirty Step-Back, Hits Trey

Nobody does this move better than James Harden. Watch the Houston Rockets MVP candidate drive left before stepping back with a cat-quick reverse between-the-legs dribble to lose Jimmy Butler and hit a smooth three-pointer in his team’s 101-90 win over the Chicago Bulls.

Unfair. How is Butler supposed to defend that?

Harden scored 27 points on 9-of-20 shooting and also grabbed three rebounds and dished four assists. What a testament it his to his performance this season that such a night seems commonplace – that’s a remarkable effort for most players.

Butler was the only Bull who had it going. He scored 27 points on 18 shots, joining Pau Gasol as the only player on his team to shoot 50 percent from the field. Derrick Rose hoisted 22 attempts to get his 23 points, while Joakim Noah and Nikola Mirotic made just one of 16 combined shots. Related: Chicago’s field goal percentage was a gross 34.8.

The Bulls are now 5-10 in their past 15 games.
