On July 27, 1993, Reggie Lewis collapsed and died while playing basketball at Brandeis University in what doctors deemed hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. While he had showed signs of heart problems before – he actually collapsed in one playoff game against Charlotte – no one figured it would come to this. R.I.P.
