Anyone who’s still unsure about Ben Affleck starring as the caped crusader in the upcoming Batman film should stop reading now. The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Affleck is working with Geoff Johns to create a standalone Batman film which Affleck won’t just star in, but direct. Is everyone okay, right now? Are you sitting down?
It turns out that directing a Batman film isn’t something that Affleck just sprung on anyone. In fact, according to THR, his contract for the Batman film he’s starring in stipulates that he gets to direct a Batman movie as well. The starring part is just icing on the delicious cake that is Ben Affleck’s career.
The movie won’t be coming out any time soon, though. Affleck still has Live by Night to direct before he even gets near the Batman project. According to THR, Affleck will also appear in the new series of Justice League films that have already been slated to happen.
