On Saturday, Disney’s D23 Expo delivered all sorts of Star Wars goodies. Be it the new Rogue One casting details or the announcement of the Star Wars-themed land coming to Disneyland and Disney World, the fan event was pretty on point with exciting new details and tidbits. One such treat came in the form of a new poster for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The Galleries1988 Twitter page shared the glory of the new print which brought famed poster artist Drew Struzan out of retirement. Behold:

This marks Struzan’s return to the Star Wars world as he illustrated the official poster artwork for both the original trilogy and its prequels. Not only does Harrison Ford appear in the above image, but this is the first time we’ve seen John Boyega’s character, Finn, wielding a lightsaber.
Aside from his recent artwork for Batkid Begins, Struzan came out of retirement back in 2010 releasing a collectible SDCC print for the series premiere of AMC’s The Walking Dead. Here’s hoping Struzan will keep resurfacing when future Star Wars films hit.
Until then, let’s rejoice in the magnificence! It’s like a Christmas miracle…or something…
