In keeping with the current trend of using TV programs to promote upcoming blockbuster movies, a fresh look at Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice will appear on the fall finale episode of Gotham, according to FOX.
The latest (and possibly greatest) superhero extravaganza, which is set to hit theaters on March 25, will be the second flick to feature new footage premiering on an episode of network television in the span of less than a week (following the debut of the first trailer for Captain America: Civil War on last Tuesday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live). That trailer received plenty of aftermath analysis in the days that followed, and the Gotham audience is the ideal one to kick off such a fervor, indeed.
To aid in the footage’s promotion, FOX also released a short video featuring cast members of Gotham picking their winner in a fight between Batman and Superman. Given the subject matter and setting of Gotham, you can probably guess who had the advantage in that particular argument.
Gotham’s fall finale airs Monday, November 30, at 8 p.m. on FOX. We’ll have coverage (and ongoing dissection) of the new footage when it arrives.
