One Avenger who was noticeably absent from recent concept art for Captain America: Civil War was Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch. Olsen spoke to MTV at the Toronto International Film Festival about her character’s “huge transformation” to having greater abilities — which she didn’t elaborate upon — as well as her current state of mind and allegiance, which she did explain further:
“She’s doing alright. She’s confused, she’s conflicted. She’s found some people she thinks she connects with, but she’s doing alright. They released images of Team Cap and Team Iron Man. She wasn’t there. She’s always the wild card. I like being the wild card.”
Scarlet Witch has been rumored to be on Captain America’s side, while The Vision is shown on Iron Man’s side in the concept art even though he’s totally Scarlet Witch’s boyfraaaane. (Well, maybe they won’t put that in the movie.) It’ll be interesting to see if she goes all Charlie Kelly and flips sides.
