As Star Wars: The Force Awakens approaches, Harrison Ford will inevitably face questions about Indiana Jones 5, which really should be a Pixar movie. At least Ford’s glad to hear the question, though, and the answer is, yes, he totally wants to do another Indiana Jones movie.
Ford, profiled this week in Entertainment Weekly, doesn’t equivocate much, either:
Oh, yeah. Yeah, I’d love to do another Indiana Jones… A character that has a history and a potential, kind of a rollicking good movie ride for the audience, Steven Spielberg as a director — what’s not to like?
That’s a hard line of logic to argue with, and the studio who currently owns the rights to Indy agrees. Disney has been fairly clear, as well, that Indiana Jones isn’t happening without Harrison Ford. But they also don’t have a script just yet, and Ford’s 73. So, if this is going to happen without it being either Ford mentoring a re-casted Mutt or a lot of CGI, everybody involved had better get started right away.
Either that or we could just decide that three great movies and one movie that wasn’t as good, but still pretty fun, is enough and leave the franchise be… Nah, who are we kidding, Indiana Jones and the Quest for a Comfy Seat on the Bus it is.
