Drake Is Celebrating LeBron James’ Historic 30,000 NBA Points By Making A New Song

Last night, LeBron James scored his 30,000th NBA point, a rare milestone that’s only been achieved by legends like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain, Dirk Nowitzki, and now LeBron. It’s a feat worth celebrating, and Drake says he’s going to get in on the fun by recording a new song to mark the occasion.

In a new Uninterrupted video, the rapper, who just released new music a few days ago, calls LeBron an inspiration and says that he’ll be heading to the studio soon:

“LeBron, I’m honored to be part of yet another historic night. 30,000 career points, it’s incredible. It seems like every time we look up you’re setting another milestone or breaking another record. I always tell you you’re one of the most inspirational people in my life. I’m honored to call you a brother. Every time you do something like this, I always try to get in the studio and make the song that will go with the moment, so I’m excited to go to work tonight.”

LeBron also got some love from Jay-Z, who called him “the most unselfish king in the world, and Nas, who said, “I think you might be able to break the great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record [of 38,387 career NBA points].”
