Nicki Minaj and Nas sparked a whole new round of speculation that the two were romantically linked today after a set of photos and videos made their way out from the Illmatic rapper’s Birthday party. The two appeared to get quite cozy with one another, taking couple’s photos with Alicia Keys and Swizz Beats. In one clip during a livestream, Nas even snuck up behind Nicki and licked her face.

Ruthlessly, some speculated about what Nicki’s ex, Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill must have thought when he caught sight of the intimate moment.

The speculation about their romantic status goes all the way back to May of this year, when Nicki shared a picture of Nas getting super cozy with her on Instagram. Later, Nicki went on Ellen where she was asked point blank about her relationship with Nas. Though she claimed at the time that she was celibate, she also said that they spend a lot of time together, mostly at his house. “I go to him ’cause…I don’t know. I just thought him coming to me was too forward.”

She added, “He’s a rap legend. Let’s just say that I have a lot of respect for him, and, you know, he’s kind of cute, too.”
