In the midst of stories revolving around his health and a rumored divorce from Kim Kardashian, a recurring report that keeps popping up is that Kanye West has been working on new music during his time out of the public eye. The latest bit of news, courtesy of TMZ, is that Kanye’s built a “temporary studio” in his Bel-Air mansion so he can write and record material.

West was released from the hospital on November 30th after being admitted to deal with sleep deprivation, exhaustion, temporary psychosis and other issues. Even while he was hospitalized, there were reports that he was trying his hardest to make music, going so far as to request a studio be set up before Kardashian reportedly talked him off the idea.

Fans of Kanye already know what the misery of relationships can often push him to make some of his most inspired works as My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and 808s and Heartbreaks were both born from that dark space. And while the prospect of new material does seem intriguing, even the most eager fans of ‘Ye would probably want him to get a little bit more rest in order to recuperate and deal with any looming health and family issues before immersing himself into a new project.

And while we’re speculating, the determinedly obsessive Kanye forum Kanye To The posted a screengrab from Pete Rock’s Instagram yesterday that they’re hypothesizing could be a tracklist:

Guess we’ll have to wait and see if Turbo Grafx 16 surfaces in time for Christmas.
