Meek Mill’s career is in a precarious position. The Philly MC is as talented as anybody, but he has been counted out by nearly everybody for the past year because of his feud with Drake and the Internet’s fervor for all things dramatic, meme’able. It’s understandable if Meek is feeling down, but sometimes when people are at their lowest or underestimated the most, they snap back the hardest.
LeBron James just proved that to the world by coming back from a 3-1 series deficit in the NBA Finals to defeat the Golden State Warriors and clearly Meek is drawing some inspiration from King James’ latest conquest. Late Monday night Meek previewed a new track, presumably from his long-awaited Dream Chasers 4 while watching some highlights of LBJ in the Finals.
“Remember they said I would lose, N****s was poppin that sh*t
So f**k it we breaking the rules, I’m like LeBron in this sh*t
Came back off a 3 to 1, who woulda thought that I would be the one?”
Meek later threw in a “high road” reference for good measure. It’s not his first Instagram preview of DC4 and like most of his IG listening sessions, the track sounds crazy. The good news is Meek is finally off house arrest so DC4 should finally see the light of day. Check out the other song he previewed on Instagram Monday night.
