The Internet Thinks Nas And Nicki Minaj Are Dating But The Evidence Is Shaky

Last night, two of the most legendary MCs to ever come out of Queens, New York shared a meal and an intimate moment together which set the Internet on fire. In a picture shared over Instagram, Nicki Minaj was shown chilling with Nas and the two got very cozy. Nicki has her eyes closed while Nas nuzzles up to her hair, with one eye looking straight into the camera. In the caption Nicki wrote, “Only KINGS recognize QUEENS.”

Because of the intimate nature of the photo, folks all over social media quickly began to speculate that the two were now an item.

More craven observers tied the photo to Nicki’s feud with Remy Ma.

The facts as they are presented now really don’t support the romantic underpinnings of the picture however. For one, in the caption, Nicki is congratulating Nas while complimenting the food. As it turned out, the pair were actually kicking it with Statik Selektah, sharing a meal together, while celebrating Nas’ recent Emmy win for his work on the Netflix series The Get Down. “Dinner with Nas & Nicki & our Emmy,” he wrote in a decidedly less romantic photo.

So who really knows what’s going on between Nas and Nicki. Maybe there’s something there, but until there’s more evidence to support that idea, it’s most likely that they’re just friends. That being said, someone needs to find out when are they going to get into the recording studio together.
