Announcing multiple projects at once is nothing new, but it’s still a rarity in hip-hop and R&B. For instance, Lupe Fiasco has already lined up his final three albums this year. On the flip side, we don’t even know if Frank Ocean will actually release another album again. With Travi$ Scott, he’s working on his sophomore and third albums at the same time and has no problem hyping up fans by revealing the titles.
During a recent performance, Scott told fans in attendance the name of his third album: Astroworld. Prior to this, he already unveiled that Birds in the Trap Sing Brian McKnight is the name of his upcoming project. What’s unknown is if both of these are actual retail albums, or if Birds… will be a mixtape followed by as an album release Astroworld.
It really doesn’t matter either way. We’re getting more Travi$ Scott music, so that’s something to be excited for.
