You Can Now Rent The Eiffel Tower For Your Next Luxury Sleepover

Paris’s newest addition to the vacation rental pool is — not what we expected. In a move of pure un-inhibited, passionate, French-ness, a contest was recently announced with Homeaway.com, makers of that awesome Nick Offerman commercial, and the city of Paris at the helm. The winners of said contest will spend one night in the City of Light’s most famous 129-year-old, 984-foot-tall monument.

The vacation rental service, which has been known to offer up incredible products in the past, is offering a chance to spend a night in the Eiffel Tower to four contestants in a company-run competition as part of its collaboration with this summer’s UEFA Euro cup.

Four lucky winners, along with up to five additional guests each, will sleep on the first level of Paris’ top real-estate location and wake up to views of the city’s most recognizable attractions. The stays in HomeAway’s Eiffel Tower Apartment will take place during multiple dates throughout the summer, with each group of guests enjoying a gourmet dinner created especially for them.

Although a night in the tower is the real prize, the vacation package also includes three additional nights in Paris at carious HomeAway vacation rentals and round-trip transportation. The winners will be announced on June 10, the day the Euro Cup kicks off.

If you’re like us and can’t stop wondering what the apartment will look like, you’ll have to wait. It hasn’t been designed yet. French interior designer Benoit Leleu will partner with the company to create a first-of-its-kind living quarter installed in the Eiffel Tower, complete with bedrooms and an inviting lounging area with stunning views. The global community and HomeAway fans are invited to help put the final touches on the space through an #EiffelTowerAllYours crowdsourcing campaign on social media channels, including Facebook and Instagram.

“Creating a temporary dream vacation property inside this world-renowned monument reflects our offering of private and comfortable accommodations perfect for making long-lasting vacation memories,” said Mariano Dima, chief marketing officer of HomeAway. “This concept is an extension of our ‘It’s Your Vacation, Why Share It?’ campaign that shows the benefits of whole home vacation rentals,” Cue Nick Offerman Commercial:

“We are looking forward to helping prompt tourism to Paris, the most visited city in the world, where travelers have turned vacation rentals from an alternative to a preferred way to stay,” said Dima. “We will be making further announcements about more events this summer in the HomeAway Eiffel Tower Apartment.”
