The 4th of July comes with some inalienable traditions that we all hold very near and dear. Traditions like barbecuing with family, eating a heroic amount of hot dogs, or sitting on a beach and wearing as minimal clothing as possible while somehow showcasing red, white, and blue louder than ever before. These rituals are all very special, but when we think of the 4th of July, it’s hard not to think about fireworks.
The rockets’ red glare and bombs bursting in air damn near embody Independence Day. And last night, as a show of our collective patriotism, the boom was felt nationwide. From the Brooklyn Bridge to the Lincoln Memorial, from Hermosa Beach to the Puget Sound, we sat with family and friends and savored everything we love about the ol’ red, white and blue. Luckily for us, it was all posted on the internet shortly thereafter. So sit back and enjoy the best of what we could find from a coast to coast display of Americana.
