Former light heavyweight champion and pound-for-pound biggest UFC screw-up Jon Jones is still in some strange Twilight Zone regarding his suspension, months after getting yanked from his UFC 200 fight with Daniel Cormier. There have been some reports that Jones might be on the verge of having that suspension greatly shortened, but who knows how long that could take or if it will actually pan out.
So for now, Jon is stuck on the sidelines. And last night he decided to take to the Twitters and show he still knows how to throw down on social media. Here’s the result of his online rampage:
Can't wait to get back and slap one of these light heavyweights, even on the sidelines I'm more relevant than anyone in that division.

Jones went as far as to retweet some nasty reminders that Anthony Johnson has been accused of hitting women a couple of times in the past. And don’t worry, y’all. If he goes ahead and deletes all these tweets like he has a habit of doing, we’ve got screenshots of it all.
So what’s behind it? Perhaps it’s just seeing Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson on the media trail hyping up their fight for ‘his’ belt at UFC 206. Jones is a competitor, but he’s only gotten to compete once in almost two years. So can you blame him if he gets itchy Twitter fingers while watching other guys he knows he’s better than fighting for the championship?
We can only hope the rumors are true and Jon has somehow proven he didn’t knowingly take the substances that caused him to test positive leading up to UFC 200. As fun as it is to watch him go off on social media, we prefer watching him beat people up in the cage.
Don't talk to me like that, I won't be known as one of your contenders. I probably won't be known at all, so back off https://t.co/ad0rrTPpUX
