FRIDAY
Bellator is live on Friday nights from the Austin city limits. The prelims have potential to be interesting, with several fresh-faced rookies stepping into the cage for their MMA debuts. Bouts kick off at 6:50 p.m. ET on Spike and Bellator’s websites. The main card has some good bouts, including former champ Joe Warren looking to return to the win column against Sirwan Kakai. The main event is a heavyweight clash between Tony Johnson and Cheick Kongo, and the winner could move into the title picture. The main card begins at 9 p.m. ET on Spike TV.
SATURDAY
Coming from Hidalgo, UFC Fight Night 94 has a fairly solid card. The star power might not be very strong, but the fights should be entertaining.
Prelims begin at 7 p.m. ET on Fight Pass, starting with Alejandro Perez taking on the undefeated Albert Morales in bantamweight action. Then prelims move to Fox Sports 1 at 8 p.m. ET. Regular prelims include Antonio “Face Shoe” Carlos Jr in middleweight action, plus Augusto Montano facing Belal Muhammad.
The main card is also on FS1 at 10 p.m. ET. Things kick off with Chas Skelly and Maximo Blanco, who’s always good for something weird. The co-main event will be a middleweight clash between the surging Derek Brunson and the dynamic striking of Uriah Hall. The main event is a lightweight bout featuring Michael Johnson taking on Dustin Poirier.
