Will Ferrell Was Dragged Out Of A New Orleans Pelicans Game At Halftime, But For A Good Reason

The clip above comes from tonight’s New Orleans Pelican/Los Angeles Lakers match up and it shows Will Ferrell annihilating a cheerleader with a basketball at half time. Now before you foolishly think he’s lost his mind or ignore common sense to think this is real, please note that he’s currently filming Daddy’s Home with Mark Wahlberg:

“Daddy’s Home” stars Ferrell as a mild-mannered radio executive who is determined to become the best stepdad possible to the children of his new wife (Cardellini). Wahlberg plays the children’s “freewheeling and freeloading” biological father, whose sudden re-emergence forces Ferrell’s character to compete for the affection of the children.

The film shoot will be acknowledged to the crowd in attendance for the game. It is expected to be the first in a series of days the production will shoot at the arena. It is unclear how extensively the Pelicans or their logo will figure into the plot of “Daddy’s Home,” if at all. (via)

Our very own Cajun Boy was in attendance and managed to snap a few pics when the Pelican’s security staff swooped in with their banana jackets and dragged Ferrell away. It was reportedly quite humorous to see in person, but I’m just happy to hear that we’re going to get some sort of a follow up to The Other Guys. I enjoyed it a lot more than I should have.
