The whole gang is back! Well, almost. Roland Emmerich announced today on Twitter that Bill Pullman, our beloved combat pilot-turned-president, will be back for another go at those pesky world-destroying aliens in Independence Day 2!

But President Whitmore isn’t the only returning cast member to join this happy reunion of a movie. In addition to Pullman, Vivica A. Fox, Brent Spiner (inexplicably) and Jeff Goldblum, the legend of a guy who played Goldblum’s father, Judd Hirsch, will also be back to play Julius Levinson.
It's official… we're thrilled to have the GREAT Judd Hirsch grace the set of #IndependenceDay once again! pic.twitter.com/vSIEQsZwjb

So, that still leaves Margaret Colin, Goldblum’s movie-wife, and Mae Whitman, Pullman’s movie-daughter, who should both totally sign on now or else feel super left out. Like Will Smith surely has to feel after publicly saying he won’t be in the sequel. Come on, Will. You know you want to fly that alien ship again.
