The Line For The ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Panel At Comic-Con Is Absurd

With all due respect to Under the Dome, the hot-ticket panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con is the one for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, with director J.J. Abrams, screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan, and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy present, as well as unannounced “special guests.” EW reports that a trailer won’t debut (you’ll have to wait until fall for that), and attendees won’t be treated to any new footage, but it’s Star Wars. People are going to be there.

Hell, they already are, and the panel isn’t until this evening. The line for Star Wars, and also Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead (Star Wars might be the only thing that can knock GoT and TWD to “and also” territory at Comic-Con), started forming on Wednesday. EW also put together a documentary on the Austin, Texas, natives up front, which you can watch here.

They’ve claimed their territory.

Here’s what the line looks like from outside.

J.J. Abrams provided the sustenance.

Everyone probably smells terrible, and they haven’t had a good meal in days, and their sunburns are painful, but it’ll be worth it when BB-8 rolls on stage.
