At least we know she can pull off the hairstyle! People released the first photos of Carrie Fisher’s daughter Billie Lourd on the set of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and not only is she sporting a costume that fits within the larger world of the franchise, but she also has her mother’s trademark side buns to go with it. Fresh off her role in FOX’s Scream Queens, Lourd will make her big-screen debut in one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Before you get too ahead of yourself, the actress has already publicly shot down the rumor that she’ll be portraying a younger version of Princess Leia. More likely is that she’s portraying another member of the Organa family tree. Could it be that Leia and Han started their own family of mini Resistance fighters?
Whatever her secret role may be, which she will also reprise in Star Wars: Episode VII, audiences should have faith that her acting chops can cut it based on her work on Scream Queens as the sociopathic daughter of Charlie Manson, Libby Putney (AKA one of the show’s many Chanels). The relaunching of the Star Wars franchise is filled with little known actors like Daisy Ridley and John Boyega, so it only makes sense that another actress is also getting her start in film by joining either the dark side or the light side. At the very least, she and he mom will have one more thing to talk about over family dinner.
