Avengers: Age Of Ultron is almost here and the press run for Marvel‘s next blockbuster is just beginning. Anthony Mackie (aka the Falcon) attended a panel at Emerald City Comic Con to discuss Captain America: Civil War. According to The Mash News, when he was asked how aware he is of Marvel Studios’ future plans, Mackie admitted he had no idea he was even in Avengers 2 until a friend saw his name on the poster:
“This is how it goes,” he said. “About two weeks ago, I got a call. My friend was like, ‘Yo, Age of Ultron posters out.’ Why didn’t tell me you were in it?’ ‘I’m in it?’ That’s how Marvel rolls. When you see somebody and they say, ‘We can’t tell you,’ that’s because they don’t know.”
If Anthony Mackie didn’t know he was in the film, one can only assume the footage being used was originally shot for Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Who knows? The MCU is as grand as it is enigmatic. Hmm… I never really thought of Marvel Studios as a powerfully influential organization whose actions are shrouded in secrets.
…Hail Hydra.
