On Sunday, Sylvester Stallone — who was apparently doing some editing to the screenplay for Creed, the Rocky spin-off starring Michael B. Jordan — tweeted out an image of the script, noting that this is “where the screenwriting is done.”

Keep in mind that this is a script written by Ryan Coogler that Stallone was presumably offering notes for, because — all due respect to the fact that these are his characters — Stallone shouldn’t be messing with screenplays written by the guy behind Fruitvale Station when Stallone’s latest efforts were Expendables 3 and, uh, Homefront.
Anyway, Yahoo picked up the tweet, and the Daily Mail followed suit, with both noting that the script could clearly be read, and that it gives away the ending to Creed.
But does it, really? I can’t read a damn thing.
However, according to Yahoo (SPOILERS), Adonis Creed — the grandson of Carl Weathers’ Apollo Creed — wins the movie’s climactic title fight (Rocky is his trainer in the film).
WOAH. Big surprise there. You mean, the protagonist in a Rocky film wins the final bout? I doubt anyone needed to see the script to predict that.
I suppose it’s possible that Coogler would go the Rocky route and Adonis Creed would win only his self-respect in the end (but not the match), but given the fact that every other Rocky movie (except Rocky Balboa, where Rocky lost in a split decision) has ended with Stallone’s character winning the final match, I think it’s safe to assume that Creed would win in the spin-off movie, as well, right? I mean, it’s Hollywood. In 2014. Although, given the events of Fruitvale Station and the current cultural climate in America, you could certainly see Creed winning the match and then being shot by police for beating up a white guy.
But don’t expect that kind of subversion from a Rocky film.
