You know, I’m sure I’m not the only one who was getting a little worried that the new Fantastic Four movie was taking itself a little too seriously. It’s been selling itself on looking at the “darker side” of the legendary Marvel family, trying to act like some DC universe movie or some nonsense. But this new TV spot is a breath of fresh air, showing that there is, indeed, a lighter side to the story, especially on the part of Michael B. Jordan’s Johnny Storm. Nothing will top Chris Evans’ “That’s gross” moment from the first version, but this is looking like a pretty cool movie now as opposed to a super-emo flick.
