While talking to IGN about his upcoming film Kingsman: The Secret Service, Samuel L. Jackson revealed that he only has two movies left on his contract with Marvel. He said that while he hopes for a contract extension so he can continue to play Nick Fury, he’s unaware at this time whether Marvel intends to sign him up for further films.
That would cover the next two Avengers movies slated for production, Avengers: Infinity War Parts I and II. I guess I kind of assumed that because everyone’s starting to appear in everyone else’s films, Nick Fury would be needed for the Captain America: Civil War movie, at the very least, and maybe one of the new solo films, right? Or am I just projecting my need for Samuel L. Jackson to never die?
He also agrees that a Nick Fury solo movie is in order. Check it out for yourself:
