Aside from making things kinda awkward by delving into her crush on Seth Meyers, Jennifer Lawrence also discussed her recent Golden Globe on Late Night Tuesday night. Lawrence was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Comedy or Musical for her upcoming film Joy, out Christmas day. But in a serendipitous twist of fate, Amy Schumer was also nominated in the same category for her starring role in Trainwreck. As you may have heard, the two women are friends.
Lawrence assures us that there’s no competition between the two, however. Nay, far from it. As a matter of fact, Lawrence is rooting for her friend to win the Golden Globe. And not just because she herself has won it, like, so many times or anything. But as to whether or not Schumer is likewise rooting for Lawrence to win, she says that’s less of a two-way street. Ehh, at least she’s honest?
As to which one will actually take it home, I don’t know… They both seem like good performances, I guess, but personally my money’s on Melissa McCarthy in Spy.
