Jonah Hill admitted that he has no clue why he’s on The Tonight Show to promote Hail, Caesar! He’s literally only in the movie for a fraction of screen time, a snippet you’ve likely seen many times in the trailer for the film. But still, he’s a trooper who upholds his contracts, so he’s on the show to do his job and tell a very funny, odd story for Jimmy Fallon.
It involves a moment when Hill took his sister to see Adele, something he wouldn’t normally have any interest in doing. But while he was there, something took over his emotions. The voice of Adele cut through his tough exterior and turned him into a wild bomb of explosion waiting to explode. Something J.J. Abrams likely didn’t anticipate.
Hill was out with his pal Bradley Cooper and the pair run into J.J. Abrams. Cooper and Abrams know each other, they’re also pals from their days with Alias, but Hill is not. They had never met, but quickly got to know each other thanks to Hill’s friendly “titty twister.” It came out of nowhere.
Even better is Hill’s apology note to J.J. Abrams and his difficulty addressing the term. Rotating nipples should become a big thing now when meeting people. You might make a few creepy friends along the way, but those are bonds that do not break.
Hill also took part in one of Fallon’s games, having an emotional interview that quickly went off the rails thanks to some weird rules. Not sure who would ever be allergic to “words containing the letter E,” but you have to hope the writer who came up with it is a fan of the movie Pontypool. Check it out if you haven’t.
