Since 1983, THX has ensured that sound effects and mixes are adequately transferred from the director’s vision to the venues attempting to display it. Being a byproduct of George Lucas‘s own company LucasFilm, the original introduction (displayed below) became a staple of Star Wars VHS viewers during the ’90s.
Now it looks like a new generation of viewers will be horrified by the introduction’s solid sound and eye-popping visuals. Also, I wonder if Neil deGrasse Tyson and the team behind Cosmos contributed to this?
