Although best known as Alex Kelly from The O.C. to the right kind of people, i.e. handsome fellas and gorgeous ladies with great taste, Olivia Wilde’s most popular role is likely Quorra in Tron: Legacy, which earned $400 million at the box office. With that kind of dough, it’s no surprise that Disney is making a third film, and that Wilde will don the skin-tight suit again.
Olivia Wilde and Garrett Hedlund are set to return for Disney’s Tron 3. The pair will reprise their characters from 2010’s Tron: Legacy in [director Joseph Kosinski’s] sequel.
The project is now looking to shoot this fall. Plot details are being kept offline. (Via)
I liked a lot of things about Tron: Legacy — the look, the soundtrack, the Olivia Wilde and Jeff Bridges — but I didn’t love it. That’s mostly because Wilde’s husband, Jason Sudeikis, wasn’t in the film. The Running Man would have fit in perfectly at the Daft Punk bar.
Don’t make the same mistake again, Disney.
