Ricky Gervais shared a few images on Instagram this week from the set of his upcoming film Life on the Road, a mockumentary-style spin-off of The Office, which will follow up with his character David Brent 15 years later. This time, the camera crew will be following Brent as he tours with his band, Foregone Conclusion. However, if the above image is any indication, it looks like the character hasn’t managed to dig himself out of the trenches of white collar middle management just yet.
A new Dawn?? THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE. It’s unknown (but doubtful) if any of his former Office cast members will be making cameos in the film, because it will primarily center around the tour. (Not to mention at least Martin Freeman is in high demand these days.) According to the Wikipedia description, the plot will follow Brent’s holiday tour with Foregone Conclusion, but he’ll have to use his pension to fund part of the concert after ticket sales are so low, he can’t afford to pay his band. Sounds about right.
