For Jimmy Buffett, the biggest problem he usually faces is trying to find his lost shaker of salt, a problem that can be eased by enjoying a cheeseburger in paradise. However, Buffett had a far worse day recently, as he found himself on the receiving end of a dinosaur attack. That is to say that Buffett has a cameo in the blockbusting Jurassic World.
If you haven’t seen the movie, and the box office dictates you probably did, you have at least probably seen the trailer, and thus espied a scene wherein some flying dinosaurs attack tourists on Jurassic World’s Main Street. During said scene, you will see a gentleman fleeing the carnage while also trying to keep his margaritas, which he has purchased from a Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, safe. That man is, in fact, Buffett himself.
This cameo wasn’t exactly kept a secret, as Buffet posted a photo of himself on the set on Twitter to celebrate National Beer Day. Buffett is apparently good friends with Jurassic World producer Frank Marshall, and that’s all it takes to make an appearance in one of the most commercially successful movies of all-time. Plus, he got to jam with Chris Pratt, star of the film, at an after party. Or, rather, Chris Pratt got to jam with Jimmy Buffett. Let’s not lose track of who the real star is here.
