Rihanna’s “B*tch Better Have My Money” is having a moment. It’s an insane song with an even more insane music video unleashed by the best-selling digital artist of all-time. It’s an aggressive song, but you know what would make it more aggressive? If Korn played some grimy heavy metal riffs under it. Well, that’s exactly what happened.
You may have thought Korn was finished. However, the godfathers of nu metal are still going, if not necessarily going strong. For their take on “B*tch Better Have My Money,” they’ve kept Rihanna’s vocals, but replaced the instrumentation of the original song with their traditional loud, sludgy guitars, and intense energy. It fits better than you would expect when you hear the words “Rihanna” and “Korn.”
Korn will be playing Knotfest with Slipknot in San Bernardino, Calif. later this year, which will make a small sliver of music fans very happy. Rihanna, meanwhile, remains one of the biggest names in music, and, somewhat inexplicably, “B*tch Better Have My Money” is up for a couple of Teen Choice Awards, including Choice Party Song. Kids today are throwing some weird parties.
