Drake’s “Hotline Bling” has inspired a lot of covers, so we can’t definitively say that this Gwen Stefani cover unleashed during a game of “Spin The Microphone” on the Tonight Show is the absolute worst. But it is definitely up there, even in a world where this exists.
Stefani was joined by Blake Shelton, who pretty clearly didn’t know anything about the song (and why should he? He’s a country music star who’s pushing 40). But even Blake’s confused repeating of “Bling” couldn’t save the cover, which stood out even among other lackluster performances like Adam Levine’s too-cool take on “Oops…I Did It Again” and Pharrell’s version of “It Takes Two” with host Jimmy Fallon.
