Justin Bieber is breaking his silence about those nude photos of himself on vacation. First of all, he feels violated that they were taken. Secondly, they don’t show the full story, apparently. In an interview with Access Hollywood, the singer jokes about how unflattering the shots were: “That was shrinkage for me.” He also says that the photos show how little privacy he has as a celebrity:
“My first thing was like … how can they do this? Like, I feel super violated. Like, I feel like I can’t step outside and feel like I can go outside naked. Like, you should feel comfortable in your own space … especially that far away.”
You may recall that after Bieber’s pics leaked, Twitter users called this an invasion of privacy, while others remarked in surprise about how well endowed the singer was. Bieber’s lawyers sent the New York Daily News, who published the photos, a cease and desist letter.
Then there was this fun tweet from Justin Bieber’s dad, hashtagged “#proud daddy.” Bieber hasn’t yet spoken out about whether this reaction has horrified him as much as it has everyone else. I guess that’s an aspect of celebrity culture that’s hard for the rest of us to relate to.
