Bad Brains guitarist Dr. Know, also known as Gary Miller, is in the hospital on life support. Word on the hospitalization broke after a statement was posted on The Dean Ween Group’s Facebook page and then on Living Colour’s singer Corey Glover’s page. Dr. Know is one of the most influential guitarists in punk and hardcore history, especially for musicians in the D.C. area. Over the past few months, the 57-year-old Miller has performed alongside Foo Fighters, as well as performing shows with Bad Brains.
Bad Brains has released an official statement to their Facebook page acknowledging Miller’s condition, but don’t give out any details.
Musicians from The Mountain Goats to punk legends Lagwagon have also expressed their support over social media.
