Every year since Jimmy Fallon joined the late night talk show game in 2009, Rashida Jones has showed up on Thanksgiving to perform some sort of Holiday song. Eventually, these performances grew into enormous medleys that collect the entire year’s worth of hits and Christmasify’s (and Channukahfy’s) them to enjoy for the remainder of the year. This year, however, the two may have taken things to an entirely new level with help from Queen Latifah and Eric Nally.
Of course, the major songs are hit like “Bitch Better Have My Stuffing,” “Butterball Hotline Bling,” and “I Can’t Celebrate Cause I’m A Jew” (that would be The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face,” for those who couldn’t guess). But the finale, without giving away too much, is an absolute showstopper to usher you right in to the holiday season. Rashida also appeared to talk about her new crime procedural parody series, Angie Tribeca, and showed what she felt the origin of Drake’s “Hotline Bling” dance moves are: Carlton Banks from The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air.
While Aubrey may be too busy to confirm this, I’m fairly certain we can get Alfonso Ribeiro to corroborate these claims. If Drizzy starts coming out at shows to “It’s Not Unusual” by Tom Jones, we’ll definitely know for sure then.
