Chances are you know Sir David Attenborough, even if the name doesn’t ring a bell. Have you ever watched an episode of Planet Earth (or basically any BBC documentary series) and thought, “Who is this guy narrating? He’s awesome.” Well, that’s Attenborough.
And now, thanks to the creative minds over at BBC Radio 1, we now have the acclaimed broadcaster and naturalist narrating the introduction to the video for Adele’s latest hit single, “Hello.”
Attenborough does what he does best, observing the setting of the video and, like everybody else, commenting on Adele’s outdated choice of communication (hearing someone say “#fliphone” has never sounded so good). Then, Attenborough describes Adele’s forthcoming pop takeover in a way that only he could: “The lesser spotted Adele is about to be everywhere again.”
Adele has yet to comment on the video, but once she gets past all of these records she’s breaking, maybe we’ll hear from her. Maybe she’ll have kinder words for Attenborough’s narration than she did for Damon Albarn’s criticisms of her.
