INDY – “Same Kid” (Prod. by Mantra)

When you’re young, it’s easy to say you’ll always be the “Same Kid.” On INDY’s new single, the unwound New Jersey rapper explains how that reality check will never set in and the youthful energy he’s putting on display throughout this fun-loving new single will always be his trademark. If he can truly bottle this charm and keep this type of vacation adjacent vibe in tact moving forward, he may end up fulfilling his word.

Rageouz and Preachersoul – “So Called Players” (Prod. by Shan J)

Traditional Hip-Hop is in full effect on this new track from Rageouz And Preachersoul. Listen to “So Called Players” and hear the duo delivering dynamic, cool bars that challenge their contemporaries to do better. The singsong hook is especially smooth, giving the track immediate replay value. Download Rage and Preacher’s new Back 2 Da Future EP here.

itsmoosey – “Spits Bars Again” Video

With so many submissions and material to listen to, I typically prefer a well-written song with a concept. However, itsmoosey killed this new freestyle video, or whatever you want to call it. Even though there’s no hook and his tagged beat sounds like it was ripped off Soundclick, there’s no denying the rising rapper is flowing his ass off, never venturing out of his pocket and delivering easily made product his fans will still eat up. When you couple his raw talent with the fact I’ve spun “These Feelings” a thousand times now, it sounds like Moose needs a budget, already.

Matre feat. Dahlida – “Retsina” (Prod. by Beezwax)

Is that a parade coming down the street? No, it’s Matre’s “Retsina.” Filled with spicy horns, thumping drums and bending bass rhythms, this vibrant jam has way more pizazz than most blended rap-dance records and appears to be properly enjoyed with tequila shots and a bathing suit. Check out Matre’s Courage album here.

Kyle Lucas feat. Outasight – “Golden God” (Prod. by 20syl)

Kyle Lucas has been dropping quality jams for a while now, but the Georgia native is taking his game to new heights on “Golden God.” The singer-turn-rapper sound extra fresh on the bubbly production from 20syl, riding the rhythm just right and nailing the underdog concept with help from Outasight on the stand-out hook. Rock this one before work for best results.

XL Middleton and Eddy Funkster – “The Boys Are Back” Video

Yes, “The Boys Are Back” and they clearly brought the funk. The latest video from XL Middleton and Eddie Funkster finds the two West Coast producers bringing their shimmering 80s R&B dance vibes back to the mix, ready to keep the club sweating and roller rink flowing smoothly. Meeka Kates – “Wildfire”

The last time we heard form Meeka Kates, it was on the very first installment of this column. Well, the Amsterdam singer/producer is bringing us back to his audible afterparty with “Wildfire,” a blast of subtle but lively dance vibes that aren’t overdone and will still keep most rooms rocking. Download Kate’s Wildfire EP here.

TheRealAge – “We Be F**kin Like”

Looking for some baby making music to start the week off right? Turn on “We Be F**kin Like” from TheRealAge and you and your better half might end up making a mess of the whole house. Driven by delicate production and unkempt desire, this steamy, well-delivered soul-hop jam from the rising Denver singer/producer should encourage listeners to start breaking in some new spots.
