The loss of Christina Grimmie is one that has seen an outpouring of heartfelt tributes in the young singer’s honor and shared memories of a person that was so much more than a contestant on The Voice. At his Saturday night concert in New York, Charlie Puth added his voice to those honoring Grimmie’s memory.
Sat at his piano, Puth shared his feelings about the tragedy before dedicating his hit “See You Again” to Grimmie’s memory.
“I was reading the news last night and heard that my good friend Christina Grimmie was killed, and I want to dedicate this song to her tonight,” Puth said. “I’ve been upset about this all day, mainly because I just never got to say what I wanted to say to her, and I feel like this song perfectly captures that.”
