I’ll say this about Beyoncé: it’s the best album of the year where a black Canadian rapper who once dated Rihanna and starred on a soap opera for teens references a long-running NBC sitcom starring Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin. (It finished JUST ahead of David Bowie’s latest.) On “Mine,” his duet with the titular Bey, Drake raps:
I told you you don’t need to worry about them bitches
All them fives need to listen when the ten is talking
That sounds awfully familiar…
I hope Drake’s next album is nothing but Jenna Maroney quotes.
