It’s impossible to cover each bit of new music that comes out during the week, so every Friday, we’ll be doing an end of the week music roundup. It’s called Final Track, and we’ll count off a few songs released during the week that are worth giving a listen to.

“Turn Around” by the Postal Service
Savor this moment, Seth Cohens of the world: “Turn Around,” a previously unreleased track from the 10-year anniversary reissue of Give Up, is the last “new” Postal Service song you’ll ever hear. The dream of the 2000s is dead.

“Fall Over” by Banks
An incredibly sensual single from Los Angeles newbie Banks, “Fall Over,” with its drip-drop production, is perfect for the club…and the bedroom. (I’ve been waiting YEARS to use that.)
“She Will” by Savages
SXSW favorites Savages continue to impress in the lead-up to the release of their debut album, Silence Yourself, due out May 6th. “She Will” is a little softer and more nostalgic than previous tracks we’ve heard from the post-punks, but that’s only because the song’s prickly anger is buried just below the surface, waiting to explode.
“Living, Loving, Partygoing” by Future Bible Heroes
Stephin Merritt is best known for his work in the Magnetic Fields, but the crafty curmudgeon has plenty of sideprojects, too, including Future Bible Heroes, who will release their first album in 11 years this June. “Living, Loving, Partygoing,” all cutesy, charming electro-pop, is our first listen.
Like Clockwork by Queens of the Stone Age
This is certainly…different.
Queens of the Stone have just updated their website to reveal a June release date for their next studio album. What’s more, if you click the ‘Q’ on the band’s website, you’ll hear what are presumably snippets from the album. Note: You’ll need to refresh the page in order to hear a new snippet. (Via)
