We signed off yesterday with a rumor that David Bowie might have joined Arcade Fire in the studio for their new album; we begin today with confirmation that, yup, not only did he help out, we also have proof, in the form of “Reflektor,” a stunning new James Murphy-produced single that recalls both LCD Soundsystem and Talking Heads.
Win Butler and the glamorous Régine Chassagne take turns on lead vocals, and it’s easily Arcade’s most danceable song to date. Having David Bowie around makes everything instantly 29% more rhythmically pleasing.
