It seems like the world is entirely upside-down these days. Ronda Rousey, in a shocker, ended her undefeated streak by losing to Holly Holm this past weekend, and Justin Bieber is now one of the most respected pop figures in all of music. Crazy to think about, but both have become true. Well, now it appears, to switch things back to the way they were, Bieber might end up killing two birds with one stone (or smashing them, anyway) by adding his thoughts on Rousey’s recent loss to the public record.
TMZ is reporting that in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Bieber at first diffuses one situation that could have gotten his ass kicked involving Rousey’s kid sister.
“I guess, supposedly, she asked for a picture with her sister or something, and I guess I said no?” Bieber said… “But I don’t remember this happening, so, Ronda, I’m sorry. Don’t kick my ass!”
Crisis seemingly averted… or at least you would think. Bieber continues:
“I would like to get better at boxing… did you see Ronda Rousey? She got knocked out cold! Oh my God, she got knocked out so bad. Yeah, no, she got pummeled.”
Hmm, it seems like when you apologize to someone, you wouldn’t want to point out their very fresh shortcomings quickly thereafter. This isn’t exactly great for Bieber’s 2015 apology tour, and if you end up seeing him in the shape of a pretzel, you’ll probably know why. Hopefully, for his sake, he has a custom version of “Sorry” already recorded.
