Despite being tied up in legal limbo, Kesha surprised her fans in Nashville with a secret show this past week. Performing with her new band, Yeast Infection, at the city’s famous Springwater Lounge venue, Kesha gave pop singles “Blow” and “Timber” new life, transforming the tracks into psychedelic rock songs that, aside from their well known choruses, were practically unrecognizable.
The singer seemed to be enjoying herself, even though she’s been in a year long court battle with producer and label head Dr. Luke. Kesha filed a lawsuit against Dr. Luke back in October 2014, accusing him of sexual and verbal abuse, as well as exerting excessive control over her music career.
Kesha posted a video of the performance to her Facebook and thanked her fans in the caption. “HAPPY HOLLERDAYZ from Y E A S T I N F E C T I O N!!! I love all of my ANIMALS!!! Thanks for all of the support this year!!!….Don’t worry NO ONE will ever shut me up.”
