Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year nominee Luke Bryan was one of the biggest performers at the iHeartRadio Country Festival in Austin, Texas on Saturday, and if he needed any bonus points in the good mojo category, he scored them all and then some. Just two days earlier, 6-year old Sadie Jane Moore left her hometown of Garrison, Kentucky in a limousine with her parents for a very special surprise trip, courtesy of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Sadie didn’t have a clue where they were taking her until they arrived in Austin and told her that she was going to sit in the front row to watch Carrie Underwood, Eric Church and Bryan perform.
Sadie is living with hypoplastic left heart syndrome and Jacobsen syndrome, and she has already had two open heart surgeries, according to the Independent Online. She was given a sendoff from her elementary school, complete with balloons and a cake, but nothing would top the surprise that she’d receive from Bryan during his performance of his hit song, “Crash My Party.”
Now I’m not the world’s biggest fan of country music, but it didn’t take me more than a second to head on over to the ACM’s Entertainer of the Year page and cast my vote for Bryan. Y’all should give it a try, too.
