The sharks got all the attention, but it was a treat for anyone who played “Hot Boyz” on repeat in the winter of 1999 to see Missy Elliott during Katy Perry’s halftime show. She hasn’t released a proper album since 2005 because, as Elliott explained to People in 2011, she has Graves’ Disease, “an autoimmune illness that affects the thyroid.” But now she’s back, hopefully for good; the world needs an occasional reminder that Supa Dupa Fly is an excellent album. But Missy’s not the only one who made her entrance back into the general public’s eye. So did Alyson Stoner, whom you might know as The Girl In Missy Elliott’s Music Videos. But she’s a lot more than that.
Here’s what Stoner tweeted during the game:
To the literal 65 people asking if I'm about to dance with Missy at halftime, pic.twitter.com/KYqPw5RU4I

And what does she look like now?
In recent years, she’s been in multiple Step Up movies, obviously, and also lent her voice to Phineas and Ferb and The Legend of Korra, where she played Opal (a very good character on a GREAT show). Stoner continues to perform, as both a singer and dancer.
Yes, she probably still knows the “Work It” moves; no, she doesn’t want you asking if she does.
