Tonight’s Country Music Awards kick off at 8 PM ET on ABC, and this year’s celebration of all things downhome, truck-lovin’, beer-sippin’, toe-dippin’ and whatever other stereotypes I’m ignoring is going to be a rowdy one. Hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, the show will feature performances by Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, George Strait, Keith Urban and even Ariana Grande with the oxymoronic Little Big Town, among others, as well as appearances by Garth Brooks, Brantley “Country’s Real Outsider Outlaw BRO” Gilbert and Tim Tebow. If all goes well, we might even get to watch Paisley tell a few hilarious jokes about how Taylor Swift abandoned her country roots so she could sell eleventy-billion albums.
But what if country music just isn’t your bag? Don’t worry, Yahoo! Screen has you covered. Starting tonight at 9 PM ET, fans can log on to check out a live Nickelback concert being broadcast from, where else? The Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, California. It’s almost as if the music gods are mocking you for not having two heads and four ears tonight.
So again, you can either watch this at the CMAs…
Just kidding, watch them both! The Nickelback show will stream for 24 hours, so you don’t have to miss any of the action. We’re so spoiled by today’s best music artists.
