In 2013, a meme dies the moment it becomes relevant. Everybody and their mother has covered or done a parody of ‘The Fox’ by Ylvis — the Ohio State marching band, the Dallas Mavericks, Michael J. Fox, this guy’s Christmas decorations — but one important parodical icon has yet to weigh in on the phenomenon: the Phillie Phanatic.
Here’s how much we love the Phillie Phanatic … he can do a ‘The Fox’ parody in late December, right in the dead of baseball inactivity, and I get all excited and red-faced and start furiously typing to you about it.
